Bushido, Venice FL

Welcome to restaurant reviews by the food ninja for go gin chow. Today I have a nice take on some great food from a nice little place in Venice Florida  called Bushido Sushi. A nice cozy inviting restaurant with a good modern day take on the decor. They kept it real and updated but also kept it authentic. The food was of good quality and also was plated with good technique. Besides all that the food was also delicious and filling.  Me and my brother did not leave hungry. As far as pricing went it was reasonable. I would also like to add is that the service was great they were flexible they were willing to change some things on the platter we ordered to accommodate us with out question. I really appreciated that. So over all this is definitely a place I would recommend. So take from the food ninja, check out this place and please enjoy!

Shadow here.  Nice little sushi joint in Venice, Florida.  Simple decor, granite table tops, hardwood walls  decorated with traditional Japanese artwork and trinkets.  Interior is  very, very clean.  Bathrooms are immaculate.  Service was friendly and accommodating.   Pretty large selection of special rolls.  Went with the Volcano Roll and, upon recommendation of the waitress, the Tokyo Roll.  Presentation could definitely use some work with here.  Both rolls were garnished rather sloppily, particularly the Volcano Roll, which had the shredded kani (imitation crab) just dropped on top of the roll, not the skillful artistic precision you would expect of sushi.  The cooked seafood topping on the Tokyo Roll could definitely use more color to make it more appetizing.  Rolls tasted great though, very flavorful and rice was cooked well.  We also ordered the Party Sushi C.  Waitress was more than happy to substitute the tamago (egg) nigiri for something else at no addition charge.  Miso soup that came with the order was good, not too bland or too salty.  The sushi itself was presented much better this time.  Fish was very fresh.  Overall very good place to satisfy that sushi craving in the Venice area.  On an unrelated note, if you are into collecting seashells and fossilized shark teeth, definitely also check out Caspersen Beach.  It is only 5 minutes away.  In just two hours we collected nearly 100 teeth, not bad for amateurs.

  1. The BLE Realty Corporation was organized to develop the area, and the Venice Company was created to market property.
