Bonefish Grill, Lakeland

Hello and greetings from the food ninja reporting for go gin chow restaurant reviews. My take on Bonefish Grill, the decor is warm and up beat with a nice open floor plan. The food was of great quality but a little more on the pricier side but not too much and the service was great. So now back to the food. I can say that the food was pleasurable to the eyes and to the taste buds. I was happy and so was my stomach and our server was pleasant and attentive but during our dining experience we were confronted by the night manager, confronting us on our picture taking. It seems maybe he was a little rattled by us. Not sure why, it didn't seem to bother the other customers and none of the other customers complained to us or to the staff.  We took these pics at our table and of the food we ordered, no where else. So in my opinion I think that the night shift management could use some tweaking. Because of that confrontation it made the atmosphere unbearable but we hung in there like champs and finished our meals even with that mishap I don't think I will visit  that Bonefish Grill, but I will go to others. But don't let that discourage you from going there, just don't  take any pics ha ha. So take it from the food ninja, Bonefish Grill is a nice place to eat at and you will enjoy!

Siesta Key Oyster Bar

This is the food ninja for go gin chow restaurant reviews it is my pleasure to give my review on a great place in Siesta Key. Its called the Siesta Key Oyster Bar. I have been going here for some time and enjoyed it every time very much.  This place is great.  It is welcoming and always buzzing. Everyone there is there to have great conversations accompanied by great food and service and you never leave hungry. The oysters are very nice you definitely need to have those when your there go during happy hour  from 3-6 pm. The servers are polite and attentive. They do the best they can in busy little place, but that's only inside. They have a great wrap around deck for more seating area. Their clam chowder was really nice and hardy and their fish sandwich is a winner no matter what kind of fish you get. If you look around you will see that me and my bro were there, you will find our dollar bill to help with they decor hanging around. Here is a clue it is near the bar next to the video game and you have to look up. So please stop on in over there and get a great bite to eat with great service so take it from the food ninja please enjoy!

This is Shadow reporting from Siesta Key in Sarasota.  Ranked America's No. 1 Beach for 2011  by Dr. Beach, you will find powdery white sand and crystal clear water.  Just a small trek from the beach is Siesta Key Village.  Lively little place with lots of goods eats.  Today we are visiting one of our favorite places.  Siesta Key Oyster Bar.  Best time to come is for their Oyster Happy Hour for which they have every day from 3 pm - 6 pm.  Raw oysters sold by the dozen are Half Price!  Louisiana Crawfish is also served at a huge discount.  Oysters are terrific here, very fresh.  Crawfish is also very good and is served like a gumbo with potatoes, Andouille sausage, corn or the cob, celery and Cajun seasoning.  There are about 11-12 crawfish per order varying from medium to small.  Just alternating between oysters and crawfish during happy hour will fill you up at a steal.  Clam chowder is very rich, with great traditional flavor, but broth is a little thin.  Service is friendly and very efficient.  Decor is great.  Very lively.  The walls and ceiling are lined with dollar bills with personal notes from their patrons including us.  If you are visiting this place.  See if you can find ours.  Happy eating.

Anime Festival Orlando 2012, Wyndham Orlando Resort

Hello this is the food ninja reporting for go gin chow restaurant reviews on the Anime Fest in Orlando. It was very cool. People were dressed  in some amazing costumes for this fest. They really got into it. I was impressed. There were a lot of interesting things to see and buy. I felt like I was transported to the anime cartoon world. While we visited the fest we had a bite at the resort restaurant called Augustine's. The service was pretty good and the prices were not bad, affordable. The food was ok,  but their steak salad was great. It was a convenient place to eat. We didn't have to leave and have to come back to  fight for another parking space. It was hard enough to find a spot the first time, but the over all experience was great. I would recommend going, take it from the food ninja, enjoy!

Greetings this is Shadow reporting on Anime Festival Orlando 2012.  Big turnout this year.  My advice for anyone coming next year, get there early.  We got there around 9:20 am and had to circle around quite a bit to find parking.  Don't know what the thousands of people that came after us did.  Line for tickets was quite long, maybe 40 minutes and by the time we got tickets they no longer let us into the room to meet celebrities, was so disappointed.  I wish the event was managed better, was hard to tell where the lines started and volunteer staff was  barking at you left and right sending you in all sorts of directions without sympathy or consideration.  Management definitely needs to work on this big time.  They should take the lead from Megacon which was handled much, much better.  Other than that still lots lot things to do.  Several rooms showing screenings of different films, Art galleries, games, fan discussions and more.  Dealers room had vendors selling loads of interesting stuff from Japanese snacks and sodas, video games, t-shirts, figurines, costume weapons  Best part of the experiences is the attendees themselves.  You will see fans of all ages, shapes and sizes wearing all sorts of great costumes from various Anime, video games, etc.  Dining options - not too many.  A couple of stands selling pizza and other snacks.  Some of the hotel restaurants have event special menus.  We decided to check out Augustine's.  Not a bad place.  Even more fun when you are dining surrounded by your favorite Anime characters.  Despite the special event, the place was not too crowded.  Now onto the food.  Calamari was not good, very greasy and dipping sauce was too sweet.  Buffalo Hot Wings from the Anime Festival Special menu was not a bad deal, but wings were not hot, not even mild.  Fish and Chips was decent.  Grilled Steak Salad had the be the best thing we ordered.  Perfectly cooked medium rare flank steak over a bed of fresh salad.  Service was very good.  Decor clean and stylized.  Pretty good choice if you do not want to leave the hotel to get food.
